Brandon Nimmo Dealing With Plantar Fasciitis

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (foot) said after the loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday night that he has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot since May. Nimmo aggravated the injured in Game 3 of the NL Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies, but he played in Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers and is starting in left field and batting third on Tuesday for Game 2 against right-handed opener Ryan Brasier. He went 0-for-3 on Sunday night and was pinch hit for in the ninth inning. The injury doesn't bother him much while hitting or throwing, but it gives him pain while running. Through Sunday's Game 1, Nimmo is hitting .241 with a home run, a .353 on-base percentage and a .698 OPS in the postseason. In his only career at-bat against Brasier, Nimmo had an RBI double.

Brandon Nimmo Tallies Two RBI In Game 1 Victory

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a walk in their victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Nimmo was quiet at the plate until the eighth inning when he knocked a single to left field, which brought in the eventual game-winning run. Later in that inning he was able to score off a J.D. Martinez single. Then, in the ninth, Nimmo hit his second single to bring in an additional run to increase their lead. The 31-year-old has now tallied at least one hit in every playoff game, providing a great spark at the top of the New York lineup. Nimmo remains a solid pick in DFS formats on Sunday when he will face Philadelphia southpaw Cristopher Sanchez, who carries a 3.32 ERA.

Brandon Nimmo Delivers Two Extra-Base Hits, Knocks In Three

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo had a nice day at the dish on Thursday, going 2-for-5 with a homer, a double, and three RBI in a 10-6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Nimmo took Taijuan Walker deep in the third with a runner on and then doubled in a run in the fourth. Despite this solid effort, the 31-year-old has been struggling since July, posting OPS's of .607, .684, and .610 in the three months since. The Mets will hope Nimmo can turn things around heading into the postseason, but for fantasy managers Nimmo isn't a must-start option outside of points leagues.
