Tyler O'Neill Swipes Two Bags

Boston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill put together a big performance in Thursday's extra-inning victory versus the Miami Marlins. The slugger went 3-for-5 with a walk, double, two RBI and a pair of stolen bases in the contest. O'Neill has revitalized his career since being acquired by Boston this offseason and is hitting .269 with 16 homers, 30 RBI and three stolen bases. The upcoming free-agent has put up some big numbers in 2024 and fantasy managers must enjoy being along for the ride. Power is not easy to come by these days and O'Neill not only provides that, but he won't hurt managers batting average along the way. The slugger should continue to be a staple in managers outfield.

Tyler O'Neill Swats HR In Tuesday Loss

Boston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill had a productive game in his team's 9-4 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday. O'Neill went 1-for-3 with a homer, a walk, two runs, and two RBI but it wasn't enough as the Sox fell to the division rivals. The veteran outfielder launched a two-run homer off Toronto starter Kevin Gausman in the sixth inning, a blast that traveled 448 feet with an exit velocity of 113.1 MPH. O'Neill has been hitting well of late, batting .333 with five homers and 11 RBI over his past 15 contests. Overall it has been a productive first season with Boston for O'Neill, who is hitting .262 with 16 homers, 42 runs, 28 RBI, and one steal across 202 at-bats.

Tyler O'Neill Could Return Next Week

Boston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill (knee) recently received a cortisone shot in his knee, which he said has helped him. The 28-year-old has been out since May 26 due to right knee inflammation. The good news is that O'Neill could return as early as Wednesday when he's eligible to be removed from the injured list. Fantasy managers should be patient and hold onto O'Neill for a little longer. He has 11 homers in 41 games, so his power alone is worth keeping him on fantasy rosters.
