Welcome to the prop bet tracker. As MLB season gets into high gear, another way to get in on the action is to analyze the day’s best prop bets – from strikeouts to home runs, first to five runs to total bases logged.

Each day, we will try and identify a few picks that are ready to explode in the prop market.

Lucas Giolito Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-154, BetMGM)

We will continue to bang this drum, and bang it loudly. The Cardinals are baaaaaad against right-handed pitching. Like really bad. Egregiously bad. A .295 team wOBA, and although Lance Lynn only whiffed three batters, Giolito can cook Tuesday. Want to get super spicy? FanDuel has the over at 7.5 strikeouts, and I would take that, too.

Cole Irvin Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+130, FanDuel)

The Mariners, at a .282 wOBA, have really struggled at the dish overall. They did get loose for some runs Monday night, but let's be clear. They still are whiffing a ton — they are the fifth-worst team in MLB in terms of strikeout rate. Frankie Montas struck out 11 hitters Monday night, despite taking the loss. Irvin isn't exactly a strikeout fireballer, but I do like him in this spot.

Clayton Kershaw Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-110, BetMGM)

Kershaw has been freaking brilliant so far this season. He has whiffed at least five batters in every start but one (I'm ignoring the start he only pitched an inning). So why am I taking the under on him? The Astros are one of the league's hardest teams to strike out, and they are even more challenging against left-handed batters — this season, they own a miniscule 16.9% strikeout rate. I'm taking the under here.
