It’s been a few days since our look at immediate post-draft moves to make in dynasty. The dust has settled (a bit), we’ve adjusted to the new landscape (kind of), and now we need an updated map to the next championship (or 1.01, if we’re rebuilding). That’s what this series is here for! As always, I’ve got four more trade candidates to consider as we head into May and toward the heart of rookie draft season.
Dynasty Moves to Make: Buys
Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Later in this article, I will cite “historical data” as the impetus for certain decisions. It’s a smart approach in dynasty … except when it comes to Derrick Henry. Last year, at 30 years old (past the typical RB age cliff), Henry posted a career-high 5.9 yards per carry and tied for the league lead in rushing touchdowns (16). According to FTN StatsHub, he also posted his highest success rate and EPA/attempt since 2020, his highest explosive run rate since 2019, and his highest DVOA on record. Only Saquon Barkley had more explosive runs (46) than Henry’s last season, and Henry’s rate (13.8%) was higher than Barkley’s (13.3%). No qualified running back logged more yards before contact (2.5) and after contact (3.4) than Henry. Against all odds, science, and sound reason — and with the help of the Ravens offense — Henry got better as he crested his 30s.
Some might suggest trading Henry away off that peak season, another year older, with the dropoff simply guaranteed to arrive sooner rather than later. And if you’re rebuilding, I’d agree; he’s only on contract with Baltimore through this season. But if you’re competing for a championship, Henry is as cheap a fantasy RB1 as you will find for 2025. He’s currently being valued behind younger backs with lower ceilings and far lower floors, like Kyren Williams (*cough* see below *cough*), Chase Brown and rookie Kaleb Johnson. If you’re confident you’ve got a playoff roster but need a difference-maker to bring home the trophy, Henry is one of the cheapest options. I’d be particularly eager to trade rookie picks for him, since they’re currently at their highest value and are less useful to contenders.
Assets I’d trade for Henry: Rookie pick at the Round 1-2 turn (or multiple Round 2 picks), Chuba Hubbard, Josh Downs plus, Kyle Pitts plus
