NBA Best Bets of the Day (12/2)

Week 13 brings us another special edition of Friday football. Unfortunately, it does feature the Las Vegas Raiders. Still, DFS fans don’t mind the teams playing as long as we’re rostering the right players, and I’m going to go over my play sheet for you all.
If you’ve never played showdowns, it’s a pretty fun and simple way to get into DFS. Obviously, there’s going to be some very large MME tournaments that will net a huge top prize, but there’s also other contests that are much more low risk. This breakdown is going to be more geared to the top-heavy high prize pool tournaments, regardless if it’s MME, limited-entry, or single entry.
My approach toward showdown slates is going to be heavily centered on rostership. With prize pools being very top heavy in the large GPP tournaments, I like being a bit contrarian whenever possible. I’ll be taking a deep dive at Friday afternoon’s game and will try to maneuver through the player pool.
Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
On paper, this is an absolutely lopsided matchup, but one thing we’ve seen from the Chiefs the entire season is that their games are seemingly always close — eight of Kansas City’s 10 wins have been by a one-score margin. Still, with the Raiders in town, the oddsmakers have the Chiefs as a -13.5 favorite, and that’s something we just can’t ignore. The Chiefs will also have Isiah Pacheco back in their lineup. There’s no clear script for the number of carries that Pacheco will get in his return, so it adds an extra wild card to the game’s fantasy football implications.
