Major League Soccer is back in action and Fade the Noise has you covered. For this Showdown between New York and Atlanta, as well as all other soccer coverage, we’ll be offering a DFS-catered approach to help pack your bankroll with profit.

New York Red Bulls (+220) @ Atlanta United (+110)

8 p.m. ET – Saturday, July 10th

For the CPT position in soccer, there are usually just a handful of players who are viable in that spot in our eyes. We’ll touch on the following players briefly below:

Ezequiel Barco ($11,200)

Gonzalo Martinez ($10,800)

Alejandro Kaku ($9,600)

Daniel Royer ($8,200)

Player Pool

NYRB – Florian Valot, Kyle Duncan, Cristian Cásseres Jr, Brian White, Sean Davis

ATL – Adam Jahn, Brooks Lennon, Anton Walkes

Optimal Build Idea

OPTIMAL – CPT Ezequiel Barco OR Gonzalo Martínez, Sean Davis, Anton Walkes – Barco and Martinez are both very strong options, probably ideal in cash together, if you wish. Davis should take some set pieces for NYRB. At 4K, he’s a strong value, but the upside is slim to none. Walkes looks to be playing fullback tonight after having played CB in Red Bulls’ first two. He has attacking prowess and would be the best value of the slate, if starting in that position. The two values allow your stud of choice at CPT, while also giving plenty of flexibility to the rest of your lineup.

It’s difficult to nail down exactly who the best option on NYRB is, all things considered, but it’s also a major key to the slate. It’s probably Kaku for us. We feel much more comfortable with Barco or Martinez in CPT, given the floor/upside combination. Cásseres Jr and Brian White are to be used in tournaments, but be careful not to couple these two with too many other Red Bulls. A build with Barco/Martinez at CPT and two NYRB attackers (Kaku/Valot/Royer/White) in utility seems perfect for tournaments. Brian White, in tournaments, is the perfect yin to Sean Davis’ yang, in cash games.
