Stephen Curry Remains Out On Monday, As Expected

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (hamstring) remains out for Monday's meeting with the Timberwolves. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the multi-time All-Star was targeting a Game 6 return. However, he will have some hurdles to clear. On top of that, the Wolves are up 2-1 in the series, meaning Golden State will need a win in Games 4 or 5. In the meantime, Quinten Post or Trayce Jackson-Davis are the favorites to start. But Jimmy Butler III, Buddy Hield, and Jonathan Kuminga, who had 30 points in Game 3, should benefit the most on the scoring end until Curry can get back on the floor.

Stephen Curry Unsure When He Can Return From Injury

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (hamstring) is unsure when he can make it back on the court. "This is new, and from all that I'm learning about how quickly you can get back, there has to be a healing process," Curry said on Thursday before Game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. "You can't accelerate it more than what it's telling you. So it'll be one of those, after a week, really reevaluating every day to understand when it's safe just to even think about playing, let alone how much can you push it." On Wednesday, the Warriors officially ruled him out for one week, meaning Curry won't be able to help his team until at least Game 5 of the second-round series. Game 6 could be a more realistic return target for him, as there will be a three-day break after next Wednesday's Game 5, giving Curry a total of 12 days to recover from his first career hamstring injury.

Stephen Curry Ruled Out For At Least One Week

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (hamstring) will miss at least one week of action. He was diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain on Wednesday, and the team announced that Curry will be re-evaluated in one week. This means he is set to miss at least three games in the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game 5 in the matchup is scheduled for next Wednesday, and it's possible Curry will then be ready to return. Curry's injury is a big blow for the Warriors, but they have seen Buddy Hield step up big time in recent games and still have Jimmy Butler III to lead the way.
