Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (illness) won't play on Saturday in Detroit. The 30-year-old has missed the last five games because of an illness, although it's been reported the Suns are looking to move him. But with no teams interested in his services, at least at the moment, there's a chance he'll remain on the roster. However, Nurkic likely won't see playing time, even if he's cleared to play in the near future, considering Nick Richards, Mason Plumlee, and Oso Ighodaro are above him on the depth chart.

At this point, Mason Plumlee has stepped in as the starting center for the Suns with rookie Oso Ighodaro serving as his primary backup. Both are in a good matchup on Thursday against the Wizards with Nurkic out and Richards not yet available for his debut.

We might have seen the last of Nurkic in a Suns uniform, as the Bosnian big man has popped up in trade rumors. Mason Plumlee has taken over the starting job at center in Phoenix, with rookie Oso Ighodaro also seeing action at the five position.
