Prime-Time First TD Bets — Monday Night Football, Week 16

The 2025 PGA Tour season gets underway this week in Hawaii. A limited field of 60 golfers will tee it up this week at Kapalua.
This is truly a handshake opener, with this event yielding some of the easiest scoring conditions on Tour. I like to see some form over the last few months, but it’s not the end of the world if a golfer has played a light schedule, this week’s test is not overly challenging and often turns into a wedge and putting contest.
Let’s hop right in to talk about my favorite PGA DFS plays for the 2025 Sentry.
Core Targets
Justin Thomas
JT is an easy-course crusher who will very likely post a top-five score in two of the four rounds this week. What he does in the other rounds will determine if he’s contending down the stretch or trying to backdoor a top-10 Sunday. Given his history at the course, I lean to the former. He’s a two-time winner at Kapalua with three other top-fives on his course resume as well. His inaccuracy isn’t punished here while his lights-out iron play and short game allows him to separate from the pack. Thomas hasn’t won since 2022, but he has a long track record of winning before that, I think we see him return to his winning ways in 2025.
