The weather is downright ugly this week to start the Wyndham Championship, but not in a way that we can use to our advantage. Tropical Storm Debby is set to dump over three inches of rain in the area Thursday, which would mean a Friday start at best this week. When you consider that amount of rain plus overnight rain, this event might not start until Friday or Saturday depending on how well the course drains.
This is something the entire field will have to wait out. The result will be a soft course which means boatloads of birdies. Sedgefield was already a course that yielded a high rate of birdies, so maybe we see tournament scoring records? A focus on easy-course performance could be a nice angle to consider, but baseline always reigns supreme. Let’s jump right in.

He ranks 12th in six-month baseline performance and seventh in the field in course monster score. So he should be mega chalk, priced at just $7,500, right? It’s not looking that way as the field is projected to be looking at more extreme recency bias with their value clicks this week. Sign me up for that.
