The fall portion of the PGA Tour schedule brings weak fields but much stronger than alternate-field events we see throughout the year. These are primarily golfers that finished outside of the top 70 in the FedEx Cup, so now they are jockeying for their playing status.
Without any true superstars at the top, there is less urgency to pluck from the top tier. The field will likely continue to jam in high-priced names despite the high-priced golfers not really separating from the pack the way a Xander or Scheffler would. As a result, I lean to a more balanced approach this week and here are some of my favorites to target.
