We’re back for the final round of the PGA’s Rocket Mortgage Classic, which has shown to be one of the easiest courses the field will see all year. When you’re thinking about your Round 4 DFS showdown teams, typically you’ll consider the finish position potential of a golfer because of the scoring bonuses. I think, in a birdie fest, we can scrap that a bit and find some low-owned gems. A new addition to our team, Alex Blickle, has been doing great work with his showdown ownership projections which are linked here and that you’ll find throughout the piece

We have a trio of golfers in Jason Kokrak ($9,100), Cameron Davis ($8,700) and Kevin Kisner ($9,500) who all boast a better than two-thirds chance of posting their best SG: Putting day Sunday. Of those three, Alex has Kisner as the lowest owned at a modest (for showdown purposes) 23%. Kokrak and Davis, on the other hand, project to be two of the three highest-owned golfers. They’re excellent plays from a golf perspective, but you’ll have to differentiate elsewhere if you want to be unique in the Sunday contests.

Keegan Bradley ($8,000) is the stereotypical showdown play with his atrocious putting thus far and excellent T2G game. The projections have him at just 11%, though, and I can’t help but feel that’s some name bias trickling in. I’m a #NeverKeegan guy, but this has me reconsidering some things. Beau Hossler ($7,700) comes in at 5% and the model gives him a 6-in-10 chance of improving upon his best SG: Putting day for the week. Here’s a peak at the model results for the golfers under $7,500 to wrap things up:
