Best MLB Bets Today – Free (Friday 5/3)

Below, I will be highlighting a few free bets for the 3M Open from outside of the outright markets. Hitting winners is fun, but there are plenty of other ways (with less variance) to bet on golf and win some money. I usually include two free bets. However, this particular week I did not find much value, so I will only be including one prop bet from the 3M Open.
Matchup – Emiliano Grillo over Dylan Frittelli

A battle of middling tour pros on paper, but I did make Grillo a larger favorite than Frittelli. Always known for his ball-striking, he seems to have perhaps “found it” again, showing much more consistency since early May. Frittelli has managed to make cuts but hasn’t been stellar, and it’s been quite the struggle tee-to-green.
Meanwhile, Grillo has been quite strong before getting to the green. Based on what I’ve seen from the data from the first few tournaments at TPC Twin Cities, this should play further into Grillo’s favor, more so than it already does when a golfer relies more on tee-to-green than putting. It could be a bit of a sweat if both golfers make the cut, since neither of them have fared particularly well making a run onto leaderboards this year. In the end, Grillo’s superior consistency OTT and through the green should give him quite the leg-up in this matchup and be a better fit for the course.
