The Best NHL Prop Bets

Andrew Mangiapane Point

(-112, FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Flames have a big game against the Jets Wednesday, but they can’t look past this matchup against the Blackhawks. Calgary enters as -420 favorites at home against a Chicago team that has lost eight straight hockey games. Tyler Toffoli has been Calgary’s most consistent scorer this season and I believe he finds the back of the net tonight. If he does, we could get an assist from Mangiapane. The winger has points in three straight games and he’s scored three goals in his last six games. Magiapane is also on the first power play, which will help his chance of hitting the score sheet.

Bonus

  • Mangiapane Assist (+200, DraftKings)
  • Mangiapane O 2.5 SOG (+102 FanDuel)
  • Tyler Toffoli Goal (+144, FanDuel)
  • Jonathan Huberdeau Assist (+120, FanDuel)
  • Tyler Toffoli & Elias Lindholm Points SGP (-105, BET365)
  • Huberdeau & Mikael Backlund Points SGP (+125, BET365)

Anthony Duclair Point

(+105, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Shot props are too juiced at the moment, so I’m focusing on players who are skating on the top line with good players and in good spots. Duclair picked up three assists in his last game, which the Panthers won 7-0. Florida has a date tonight at home against Buffalo and we have a goal total of 7.5. I believe we could see the over hit between these two teams and if that’s the case, we may just get another solid game from Duclair. It’s mostly all about Carter Verhaeghe who scored four goals in the Panthers’ last matchup to give him 40 on the season. If he finds the back of the net, Duclair may pick up an assist.

Bonus

  • Duclair Assist (+205, FanDuel)
  • Carter Verhaeghe Goal (+130, FanDuel)
  • Verhaeghe Assist (+140, FanDuel)
  • Aaron Ekblad Assist (+150, FanDuel)

There’s really good value on assists for a game that features a 7.5-goal total.

Alex Tuch Over 2.5 SOG

(-118, BetRivers)

It sounds like Tage Thompson will return here, and I think that’s good news for Tuch. The winger scored a hat trick on six shots in his last game without Thompson, but the Sabres’ first line should create more offense with Thompson back in the lineup. Tuch has racked up 16 shots on goal over his last four games. He’s cleared in all three games against the Panthers this season and he’s totaled 12 shots on goal over that span. There’s also something to be said about the importance of this game as Buffalo needs to win it. It could result in more ice time for Tuch.

BONUS:
Tage Thomnpson & Alex Tuch Points SGP (+135, BET365)
Thompson, Tuch & Jeff Skinner Points SGP (+240, BET365)
