The Best NHL Prop Bets

Alex DeBrincat Point

(-135, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Alex DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond worked out for us nicely Monday night, and they have the same matchup here, so I have no problem going back to them despite the fact that both have a more expensive price tag. DeBrincat found the back of the net in Detroit’s 5-4 win against the Montreal Canadiens last night and he put five pucks on the net. He’s playing more and he’s shooting more as a result. The winger has 21 shots on goal over his last four games, and he has three goals and seven points over a current three-game point streak.

Raymond enters on a five-game point streak. He has six goals and 10 points over that span, and he has at least four shots on goal in five of his past six games. Like DeBrincat, Raymond is getting all the ice time he can handle with Dylan Larkin who has 14 points in 12 games since returning to the lineup. This is a must win game for Detroit if they want to make the playoffs, and they still need a Washington loss to get to the dance.

We hit the over 6.5 goals Monday, and I think we could get there again when you consider both teams rank inside the top 10 in shot attempts, shots and scoring chances at 5v5/60 over the last five weeks.

Bonus

  • Alex DeBrincat O 2.5 SOG (-145, DraftKings)
  • Lucas Raymond Point (-135, Bet365
  • Cole Caufield O 3.5 SOG (-135, DraftKings)
  • Lucas Raymond O 2.5 SOG (+110, Bet365
  • Dylan Larkin Assist (+105, DraftKings)
  • Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield Points SGP (+105, Bet365)
  • Larkin, DeBrincat, Raymond 2 Points Each SGP (+1400, Bet365) 0.25u
  • DET @ MTL O 6.5 (+100, DraftKings)

Tomas Hertl Point

(-130, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Hertl has back-to-back games with a goal and has three points in his four games with Vegas. The former Shark has found himself on the top power play in Vegas and he’s been leaned on to win key faceoffs.

Hertl brings so much to this team, and the matchup against Chicago couldn’t be any better. The Blackhawks have allowed the third-most shot attempts, second-most shots, seventh-most scoring chances and the sixth-most high danger chances at 5v5/60. Chicago also has a bottom-five penalty kill.

Bonus

  • VGK-1.5 (-145, BetMGM) 2u
  • Jack Eichel, Jonathan Marchessault Points (-110, Bet365)
  • Noah Hanifin Point (-105, DraftKings)
  • Jack Eichel O 1.5 Points (+150, DraftKings)
  • Tomas Hertl Power Play Point (+340, BetMGM) 0.25u

Andrei Kuzmenko Point

(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Thatcher Demko is back for the Vancouver Canucks, but I’m not overly concerned. Demko hasn’t played a game since March 9, and Kuzmenko is feeling it. The former Canuck has nine goals and 16 points in his last nine games. Not only has he hit the score sheet in eight of those nine games, he has seven multipoint games over that span. Nine of his 16 points have come on the power play, so consider him for a power play point. Books have simply not adjusted to the run he’s on right now.

Bonus

  • Nazem Kadri Point (-135, DraftKings)
  • Andrei Kuzmenko Power Play Point (+300, BetMGM) 0.25u
  • Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller Points SGP (+115, Bet365)

Auston Matthews Over 4.5 SOG

(-129, BetRivers)

It’s no secret Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs are looking for their sniper to get 70 goals. He’s one goal away with two games left. The Maple Leafs were certainly hoping he could get 70 in their last game, so he wouldn’t have to play these final two games of the season. He had 10 shots in their last game, and he may get another 10 if he doesn’t score early here. Scoring is all he’s done this season as he checks in riding an eight-game goal streak. He has 14 goals in his past 13 games, and he’ll get a break tonight as it sounds like Aleksander Barkov won’t play and he’s Florida’s best defensive forward.
