Season Record: 53-48, +6.98 (Bonus not included in record)

I think we picked up nearly 10 units on bonus bets alone on Tuesday, so I’m still going to list them. The reason I list three official picks is because I don’t want to confuse anyone with too many picks. I also feel strong about my bonus picks but they are longer shots. If you’re looking for more be sure to check out our Pick Tracker

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Clayton Keller Over 2.5 SOG

(-118, BetRivers)

Keller has quietly put together a very strong season for the lowly Arizona Coyotes as he enters Tuesday’s action with 25 goals and 60 points in 63 games. He’s cleared 2.5 shots in back-to-back games and four of his past five. He had an impressive four shots on goal last week against a very stingy Carolina Hurricanes team. He gets a St. Louis Blues squad that has struggled at 5v5 since trading their captain and best defensive forward away in Ryan O’Reilly. The Blues rank fifth in shot attempts allowed and fourth in shots surrendered at 5v5/60 over the last month, according to Natural Stat Trick. Keller is also averaging 2.8 shots per game at home, compared to 2.0 on the road. It doesn’t seem like much, but he’s also averaging 20:54 on home ice compared to 20:31 on the road.

Ivan Barbashev Point

(+106, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Barbashev was placed on the top line for the Golden Knights immediately when they acquired him from the Blues last week, and he hasn’t disappointed his new fans. In four games with Vegas, Barbashev has two goals and five points. He enters Tuesday on a three-game point streak, and he’s averaged 18:48 per game over that span. The former Blue averaged just under 17 minutes per game with St. Louis. The Vegas/Florida game features a goal total of 7, so we could get a couple of points from Barbashev as he continues to skate alongside Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault.

Bonus

Dawson Mercer Point

(-118, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Dawson Mercer was one goal away from tying Wayne Gretzky’s goal-scoring streak for someone age 21 or younger, and I guess it was my fault for jinxing him. Nonetheless, he picked up an assist in his last game to extend his point streak to nine games. The winger has 16 points over that span, so let’s go back to him. Mercer only averaged 15 minutes per game over the first two months of the season, but he’s played at least 20 minutes in three of his last four games. The Maple Leafs are down Ryan O’Reilly and John Tavares, so the top two lines in New Jersey should get their fair share of scoring chances. I included Mercer’s shot prop as well because he has 14 shots on goal in his past two games. Overall, he’s cleared 2.5 shots in six of his past eight games.

Bonus

I have several more props to consider from Tuesday’s episode of Mean Streets.
