Season Record: 61-55, +7.61 (Bonus not included in record)

The reason I list three official picks is because I don’t want to confuse anyone with too many picks. I also feel strong about my bonus picks but they are longer shots. If you’re looking for more be sure to check out our Pick Tracker

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Dylan Strome Point

(-130, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Yes, the revenge narrative is fun, but there’s more to this pick. Strome has 17 goals and a career-high 53 points through 71 games. The former Blackhawk has picked up at least one point in 10 of his last 12 games. He has five goals and 16 points over span. His shot prop is juiced but he’s had at least two shots in 10 of those games.

Bonus

Jakub Vrana Over 2.5 SOG

(-115, PointsBet)

As I mentioned in Tuesday’s article, Vrana stood out to me when watching him live last Friday in Washington. He’s averaging two more minutes per game with the Blues than he did with the Red Wings before the trade and he’s fresh off playing the most he’s played in a game with St. Louis. Vrana logged 16:56 of ice time against his former team and he had five shots on goal. He gets the Red Wings again tonight and I liked the matchup in the first meeting, so I’m in on it again. Vrana has five goals and six points in eight games with the Blues, and he’s had at least three shots on goal in five of those contests. Vrana to have three shots is our Free Bet of the Day.

Bonus

Jake DeBrusk Over 2.5 SOG

(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)

We’re going back to DeBrusk here, but this time we’re looking at his shot prop. His point prop is a touch too juiced to take as a single bet. The winger has goals in three straight games and six points over that span, so don’t be surprised if he touches the score sheet against a Canadiens team that allowed seven goals in the first period of a game last week. DeBrusk has 12 shots over that span, and he’s cleared 2.5 in four of his past five contests. He averages 3.1 shots per game over 28 home games this season, compared to 2.9 on the road. Only the Blue Jackets and Ducks have allowed more shot attempts at 5v5/60 since Feb. 1.

Bonus

  • DeBrusk Point (-150, DraftKings)
  • DeBrusk Goal (+170, FanDuel)
  • Patrice Bergeron Assist (+145, DraftKings)
  • Brad Marchand, Bergeron, DeBrusk Point SPG (+210, Bet365)
  • David Pastrnak O 4.5 SOG (-120, DraftKings)
  • Michael Matheson O 2.5 SOG (+130, BetRivers)
