Welcome to the NHL prop bets w/ Chris Meaney, where I share a few of my favorite NHL prop bets. There are 11 games on the NHL betting slate for Thursday.

This is a great night for SGP point parlays, so be sure to check out our FTN Bets Tracker for more. With our betting package you get all of our picks across all sports, plus access to our Discord channel and to our projections. Promo code Meaney will get you 20% off all packages at FTN

FTNBets.com/free for a free three-day trial.
FREE Prop Shop

Be sure to check out Mean Streets for daily picks and Dangle Bet Celly for full NHL breakdowns each Tuesday and Thursday.

Season Record: 58-52, +8.41 (Bonus not included in record)

The reason I list three official picks is because I don’t want to confuse anyone with too many picks. I also feel strong about my bonus picks but they are longer shots. If you’re looking for more be sure to check out our Pick Tracker

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Jared McCann Over 2.5 SOG

(-112, BetRivers)

McCann’s price for three shots is all over the place, which is why the Prop Shop at FTN Bets is the best. We gave +100 on Mean Streets earlier Thursday, and it’s moved all the way to -150 in spots. I would take this prop as high as -135 (DraftKings) and if you have BetRivers, even better. McCann racked up five shots in his last game and he’s had at least three in six of his past seven contests. In five of those games, he had at least four shots on goal. The Sharks rank inside the top 10 in shots allowed at 5v5/60 since Jan. 1, according to Natural Stat Trick.

Vladimir Tarasenko Point

(-102, FanDuel Sportsbook)

This is our free bet of the day at FTN Bets, but I wanted to give my reasoning behind it. Tarasenko only has one point in his last four games, but he was placed on the top line in the Rangers’ last game, and he picked up an assist. Tristan Jarry is getting the call for the Pens despite allowing four goals on seven shots in his last game. He’s coughed up at least four goals in four of his past five starts. I don’t like the way he’s playing, and I expect Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad to hit the score sheet, so hopefully Tarasenko will be in on a goal as he plays 5v5 with those two forwards.

Bonus

  • Jason Zucker O 2.5 SOG (+110, DraftKings)
  • Artemi Panarin & Mika Zibanejad Points SGP (-105, Bet365) — Add Tarasenko for +260
  • PIT @ NYR O 6.5 (-112, BetRivers)

Evgenii Dadonov Point

(+126, FanDuel Sportsbook)

There are several point props I like on the NHL betting slate, which I shared on Mean Streets, including Evgenii Dadonov. The winger has really benefited from the trade to Dallas from Montreal. Dadonov only had four goals and 18 points in 50 games with the Habs. He already has three goals and eight points in nine games with the Stars. He’s not only getting more ice time, he’s also playing with better players. It almost feels like he’s priced as if he’s with Montreal, when he’s on a much better squad. Dadonov has two goals and five points in his past four games.

I have several more props to consider from Thursday’s episode of Mean Streets:
