I still like my bonus bets even though I don’t include them in the official record. The reason I list three official picks is because I don’t want to confuse anyone with too many picks. The Best NHL Prop Bets

Ryan O’Reilly Point

(+106, FanDuel Sportsbook)

O’Reilly is priced like he’s still a member of the awful St. Louis Blues. He’s a Toronto Maple Leaf now and playing on the second line with two very good players in John Tavares and Mitch Marner. The Leafs have a lot more talent than the Blues, so O’Reilly’s puck luck should turn around in Toronto. Also, this matchup between Toronto and Buffalo features a goal total of 7, and I have a lean to the over. ROR has one point and three shots through his first two games with the Maple Leafs and is in a good spot to add a few more points as the Sabres have the fifth-highest GA/60 at 5v5 since Jan. 1, according to Natural Stat Trick (3.06). We didn’t get this prop on Sunday, but I feel like we were robbed as O’Reilly had plenty of chances to score.

This bet was placed in our FTN Bets Tracker at 11:35 p.m. ET Monday last night and at -102 over at FanDuel. That number is now -138 at FanDuel, but I’m seeing -120 at DraftKings, using our Free Prop Shop tool. I still like it at -120, but if you’re not in our Discord, make sure you’re following FTN Alerts so you get notified the minute anyone makes a bet at FTN. Teravainen has at least three shots on goal in five straight games and six of his past seven matchups. As mentioned, the Blues just traded away their captain and best defensive forward. The Hurricanes rank first in shot attempts and third in shots at 5v5/60.

Jack Eichel Assist

Eichel had a brutal couple weeks when he returned from the injured list, but it looks like he’s turned the corner. Eichel has two goals and five points over his last four games and he has three assists over that span. His winger Jonathan Marchessault broke out of his slump in the Golden Knights’ last game as he scored twice. I like Eichel and Marchessault to help Vegas extend its winning streak to six games. The Golden Knights have outscored their opponents 24-9 over their current five-game winning streak. Over the last seven weeks, the Blackhawks rank second in expected goals against and high danger chances allowed at 5v5/60. They’re also in the top five in scoring chances, shot attempts, shots and goals allowed over that time frame.
