We have 12 games on the NHL slate for Thursday, so there’s plenty of action to be had on the ice. Below you’ll see a list of three of my favorite NHL props, with a couple of bonus NHL prop bets as well.

The odds change pretty quickly in the NHL, so take advantage of our Prop Shop for the best possible odds and check out our Pick Tracker for all of my picks.

With our FTN Bets package, you’ll get picks from everyone at FTN Network, plus tools, projections and access to Discord, where I’ll discuss every slate.

This is a great night for SGP Point Parlays, so be sure to check out our FTN Bets Tracker for more. With our betting package you get all of our picks across all sports, plus access to our Discord channel and to our projections.

Be sure to check out Mean Streets for daily picks and Dangle Bet Celly for full NHL breakdowns each Tuesday and Thursday.

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Shane Pinto Point

(+100, DraftKings Sportsbook)

On Tuesday we had Pinto for three shots and a point in the bonus section. We hit both NHL props, and I think we should go back to both again. The Senators are 6-2 since Pinto returned to the lineup, and he’s done his part to help contribute to their recent success. Pinto enters on a three-game point streak in which he has two goals, six points and 12 shots over that span. He’s picked up three goals, eight points and 24 shots in his first eight games since missing 41 games to start the season due to a suspension or violating the league’s gambling policy. His ice time has been higher over the last three games than his first three games, and he’s currently skating on the first power play. That’s important because the Anaheim Ducks lead the NHL in penalties taken, and they’re among the leaders in shot attempts and shots allowed at 5v5/60, according to Natural Stat Trick. Pinto has cleared 2.5 shots on goal in three straight games and five of his past six.

Bonus

  • Shane Pinto O 2.5 SOG (-115, DraftKings)
  • Brady Tkachuk O 4.5 SOG (+105, DraftKings)
  • Claude Giroux O 2.5 SOG (-125, BetRivers)
  • Josh Norris Point (-130, DraftKings)
  • Tkachuk & Norris Points SGP (+145, Bet365)
  • Tim Stutzle & Claude Giroux Points SGP (+100, Bet365)
  • Troy Terry, Frank Vatrano & Mason McTavish Points SGP (+400, Bet365)

Jack Hughes Over 3.5 Shots on Goal

(-130, DraftKings Sportsbook)

We’re getting Hughes at 3.5 shots on goal because of the matchup against the Los Angeles Kings, but this is a very different Kings team than the one we saw over the first two months of the season. The Kings have lost 15 of their last 19 games and they’re coming off a 7-0 loss in Buffalo on Tuesday. They’re just not getting the goaltending at the moment, which is why I don’t mind taking a stab at Hughes’ point prop either. Hughes has goals in back-to-back games and 24 shots on goal in his four games since returning to the lineup (6, 7, 7, 4).

Bonus

  • Jack Hughes O 1.5 Points (+165, DraftKings)
  • Tyler Toffoli Point (-130, DraftKings)
  • Quinton Byfield Point (-120, BetMGM)
  • Anze Kopitar & Kevin Fiala Points SGP (+150, Bet365)

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points

(-110, BetMGM)

This is a pretty decent price even though we need Connor McDavid to hit the score sheet twice. He’s fresh off a six assist game and he’s picked up at least three points in four of his last six games. He’s now just 13 points back of Nikita Kucherov from the league-high in points and you can get him at 13-1 to win the Art Ross Trophy at BetRivers, which I think is a decent longshot NHL future.

Bonus

  • Evander Kane Point (-115, BetMGM)
  • Zach Hyman & Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Points SGP (-105, Bet365)

Mikael Granlund Over 1.5 Shots on Goal

(-110, DraftKings Sportsbook)

I have one more for the people looking for some late night action in the NHL on this busy slate. Yes, I know it’s a San Jose Shark, but stick with me. The over on Granlund’s 1.5 shot prop Wednesday night was in the FTN Tracker, and it was a success as he put three pucks on the net in his return to action. He played 19:09, which is encouraging, and he should receive a similar usage even on a back to back. The Sharks will once again be without their top two centermen as Tomas Hertl and Logan Couture remain sidelined. Granlund had a stretch between November and December where he had 3-plus shots on goal in nine of 15 games. That’s when San Jose was down Couture. Granlund had logged 21-plus minutes in nine of those games and he had at least 23 minutes in four of those matchups. The usage along with the low shot prop number at a good price, makes this play appealing.

The Flames are in a good spot as well when you consider San Jose coughed up 50 shots Wednesday night in Winnipeg. Calgary has won four of five games, and they’re getting fantastic goaltending from Jacob Markstrom. I included Andrew Mangiapane as a long shot because he has at least three shots on goal in three straight games.

Bonus

  • Andrei Kuzmenko O 1.5 SOG (-150, DraftKings)
  • Blake Coleman O 2.5 SOG (-130, DraftKings)
  • Andrew Mangiapane O 2.5 SOG (+140, DraftKings)
  • Jonathan Huberdeau, Andrei Kuzmenko & Yegor Sharangovich Points SGP (+300, Bet365)
  • Blake Coleman, Andrew Mangiapane & Mikael Backlund Points SGP (+350, Bet365)
