Welcome to the NHL prop bets w/ Chris Meaney, where I share a few of my favorite NHL prop bets. There are only nine games on the NHL betting slate for Tuesday.

This is a great night for SGP point parlays, so be sure to check out our FTN Bets Tracker for more. With our betting package you get all of our picks across all sports, plus access to our Discord channel and to our projections. Promo code Meaney will get you 20% off all packages at FTN

Be sure to check out Mean Streets for daily picks and Dangle Bet Celly for full NHL breakdowns each Tuesday and Thursday.

Season Record: 45-41, +4.09 (Bonus not included in record)

I still like my bonus bets even though I don’t include them in the official record. The reason I list three official picks is because I don’t want to confuse anyone with too many picks. I also feel strong about my bonus picks but they are longer shots. If you’re looking for more be sure to check out our Pick Tracker

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Mike Hoffman Over 2.5 SOG

(-112, BetRivers)

As discussed on Mean Streets, Hoffman has taken advantage of his playing time of late as the Canadiens have the most man games missed this season. Hoffman was a healthy scratch at times this season and he’s played a lot of his hockey on the third and fourth line, but he’s currently skating on the second line and first power play. The winger has cleared 2.5 shots on goal in five straight games and he’s had at least four shots in four of those matchups. The Chicago Blackhawks rank inside the top five in shot attempts and shots allowed at 5v5/60 since Jan. 1. The Habs are coming off a weekend where they beat the Islanders 4-3 and Oilers 6-2, so consider Hoffman to get a point as he’s registered nine over his last nine games.

Bonus

Blake Wheeler Point

(-128, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Wheeler has racked up three goals and 10 points over his last seven games. I don’t mind drinking a bit of juice here on his point prop considering the recent run, but one of my favorite props from Dangle Bet Celly was his assist prop at +157. It’s down to +140 now, but this is still a solid number to attack. Wheeler has seven assists over his last seven games. Seattle has lost three of its past four games and they are inside the top 10 in GA/60 at 5v5 over the last month. Overall, Wheeler has 40 points in 44 games and 14 over his past 15. I added Kyle Connor as a bonus. It’s a bit of a long shot, but I can’t pass up +138.

Bonus

Mathew Barzal Assist

(+110, DraftKings Sportsbook)
The assist props haven’t been too kind to me in these articles of late, but we did get Adrian Kempe at +185 Monday. This isn’t nearly the same price, but it’s still plus money and Barzal has picked up three assists in his last three games. His new linemate Bo Horvat also happens to have three goals in his last three games. This duo has looked very strong in their short time together and Barzal is a past first player (34 assists and 14 goals). The Sens played Monday and are down to their third- and fourth-string goalies. Mads Sogaard held his own in his first NHL start, but his numbers in the AHL weren’t great and he faced 37 shots Monday.

Bonus

  • Bo Horvat O 2.5 SOG (-143, BetRivers)
  • Mathew Barzal & Bo Horvat Point SGP (+115, Bet365)

There are a lot of appealing shot props, but some of them are juiced. I shared a couple of the best options on Mean Streets:
