Best NHL Props Bets

Juraj Slafkovsky Point

(-110, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Slafkovsky enters tonight’s game against the Anaheim Ducks on a five-game point streak. The winger has four goals and six points over that span, including three points on the power play. Last year’s first-overall pick has hit the score sheet in eight of his past 10 games. He’s also cleared over 2.5 shots on goal in three of his last four games if you’re looking for a plus-money NHL prop. Slafkovsky is playing with a ton of confidence at the moment, and Nick Suzuki along with Cole Caufield (4+ shots in six of his last eight games) has brought out the best in the sophomore’s game. Slafkovsky only had one assist over his first nine games of the season and only averaged 14 minutes per game in October. He’s averaging 19 minutes per game in February and just over 18 since December.

The Anaheim Ducks lead the NHL in penalties and rank inside the top 10 in shot attempts, shots, and high-danger chances allowed at 5v5/60 since Feb. 1, according to Natural Stat Trick. The Habs are right there with Anaheim in a lot of those categories, so I included a few props below when it comes to the Ducks.

Bonus

  • Cole Caufield O 3.5 SOG (-115, DraftKings)
  • Troy Terry O 2.5 SOG (-110, DraftKings)
  • Juraj Slafkovsky O 2.5 SOG (+140, Bet365)
  • Cole Caufield & Nick Suzuki Points SGP (-110, Bet365)
  • Troy Terry & Frank Vatrano Points SGP (+140, Bet365)
  • Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki & Juraj Slafkovsky 2 Points SGP (+2200,  Bet365)

Quinton Byfield Point

(-120, DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Kings are coming off a strong 4-0 win against the Edmonton Oilers, and Byfield was a big part of that victory. The winger scored two goals and added an assist to extend his point streak to five games. He has four goals and eight points over that span. The former second-overall pick from 2020 is in the middle of a breakout season as has already hit career highs in goals (16), points (38), and power-play points (11). He’s also averaging a career-high 15:33 in what is his third full season in the NHL. Byfield has been on the first line and the first power play for basically the entire season, which is good for his outlook when it comes to point props. The Kings went through a stretch where they lost 14 of 17 games, which resulted in the firing of head coach Todd McLellan. Look for them to go on a bit of a run now with assistant Jim Hiller taking over for the rest of the season.

Bonus

  • Kings Moneyline (-140, BetMGM)
  • Adrian Kempe Point (-150, DraftKings)
  • Adrian Kempe & Anze Kopitar Points SGP (+150, Bet365)
  • Adrian Kempe, Anze Kopitar & Quinton Byfield 2 Points SGP (+3000, Bet365)

Shane Pinto Over 2.5 SOG

(+110, DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Senators are 5-2 since Shane Pinto returned to the lineup, and he’s seen a big boost in ice time over the past couple of games. Pinto picked up two points in his first two games, but he only played 14 and 15 minutes. He has goals in back-to-back games and five total points over that span and played 19 and 20 minutes in those matchups. He also had nine shots in those two games and has cleared 2.5 shots in four of his past five games. He’s playing on the third line but is now on the first power-play unit. Overall, he has seven points in seven games after serving a 41-game suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy.

Bonus

  • Zach Werenski O 2.5 SOG (-136, BetRivers)
  • Boone Jenner O 2.5 SOG (+100, BetRivers)
  • Josh Norris O 2.5 SOG (-130, DraftKings)
  • Shane Pinto Point (-105, BetMGM)
  • Tim Stutzle & Claude Giroux Points SGP (+110, Bet365)
