The Best NHL Prop Bets

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Assist

(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Oilers are massive road favorites in San Jose, and they have the highest team-implied total. The Sharks were worked over by a score of 5-1 in Los Angeles Wednesday night. The Oilers may give up a couple of goals (they already lost once in SJ this season), but I expect them to get their fair share of chances. Edmonton has won 10 of its last 13 games, and they’ve scored at least four goals in 10 of those games. RNH has eight goals and 23 assists in 31 games this season, and he’s racked up 10 helpers in his last nine games.

Bonus

Seth Jarvis Point

(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Hurricanes have struggled to keep the puck out of their net, but they’re still among the leaders in shot attempts, shots, and scoring chances at 5v5/60, according to Natural Stat Trick. Carolina put up five goals, and they’ve scored at least four goals in five of their last eight games. Jarvis scored a goal and added an assist in 17 minutes of action Wednesday. The winger has points in five of his last six games and six of his past eight matchups.

Bonus

  • Sebastian Aho O 2.5 SOG (-140, BetMGM)
  • Andrei Svechnikov Point (-145, DraftKings)
  • Teuvo Teravainen Point (+100, DraftKings)
  • Nick Suzuki Point (-135, DraftKings)
  • Juraj Slafkovsky Point (+154, DraftKings)
  • Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, Andrei Svechnikov Points SGP (+275, Bet365)

Owen Tippett Point

(+124, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Tippett enters Thursday’s matchup riding a three-game point streak in which he has two goals and 18 shots on goal. The winger has points in five of his last seven games. He’s been up and down the lineup all season long, but he’ll skate on the top line tonight with Sean Couturier and Travis Konecny. Tippett leads the Flyers in shot attempts (167), shots (89), scoring chances (80), high-danger chances (34), and expected goals (7.88) at 5v5.
