The Best NHL Prop Bets
Evan Bouchard Assist
(-120, BetMGM)
The Edmonton Oilers enter as -500 home favorites as they welcome the Chicago Blackhawks to Oil Country. Edmonton has won seven straight games and they’ve outscored their opponents 35-12 over that span. Bouchard has an impressive 28 points in 25 games this season, and 20 of them have been assists. He checks in riding an 11-game point streak. He has 16 points and 11 assists over that span. Eight of those 16 points have come on the power play.

Jake Neighbours O 2.5 SOG
(+135, DraftKings Sportsbook)
In 27 games with the Blues this season, Jack Neighbours has already topped his goal and point total from last season (6 G and 10 points in 43 games). The winger enters Tuesday’s matchup with 10 goals and 11 points on the season. His 48 shots are just five behind what he finished with last year. His 20.8% shooting percentage is a touch high, but he’s surrounded by good players at 5v5 in Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich. Neighbours averaged 12 minutes per game last season and averaged 12 per game over the first two months of the season. Neighbours is averaging 19 minutes per game through five games this month. He’s hit the 20-minute mark in four of his last seven games. Nine of his 11 points have come over his last 12 games, and he’s cleared 2.5 shots on goal in seven of his past nine contests. Detroit coughed up six goals in Dallas Monday, and they’ve allowed 17 in their last three games. They’ll be without their top two centers again as Dylan Larkin and J.T. Compher landed on injured reserve Monday.
Bonus
- Jake Neighbours Point (+100, DraftKings)
- Robert Thomas Assist (-120, BetMGM)
- Joe Veleno Point (+130, Bet365)
- Moritz Seider 2+ SOG & Jake Neighbours 2+ SOG (+125, Bet365)
- Robert Thomas & Pavel Buchnevich Points SGP (+105, Bet365)
Jonathan Marchessault Point
(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)
The Flames are coming off a tough 6-5 loss in Colorado Monday, and now they have to face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Golden Knights in Vegas. Calgary has lost four of their last five games, and they’ve allowed at least four goals in each one of those losses. Jonathan Marchessault was bumped off the top line a couple of weeks ago, which is why I think we’re getting a decent price for him to pick up a point. Even without Jack Eichel on his line at 5v5, Marchessault has five goals, six points and 22 shots on goal in his last five games. He’s still getting power play one time with Eichel, which is good for his upside.
Bonus
- Jonathan Marchessault O 2.5 SOG (-150, DraftKings)
- Jack Eichel Assist (-115, BetMGM)
- Jack Eichel & Mark Stone Points SGP (-110, Bet365)
Mark Scheifele O 2.5 SOG
(-106, BetRivers)
It sounds like the Winnipeg Jets will be without their leading goal scorer Kyle Connor for the next 6-8 weeks, according to reports. That’s a tough blow for the Jets, but it’s also an opportunity for more ice time for other players. I don’t know how much more ice time Mark Scheifele will get, although he played 23:45 in the Jets’ last games. A game where Connor was limited to seven minutes of action. Scheifele finished with three shots in that game for the eighth time in his last 10 games. The Sharks are among the leaders in shot attempts and shots allowed at 5v5/60, according to Natural Stat Trick. With Connor off the top power play, we could see a few more attempts from Schiefele. I also have my eyes on Gabriel Vilardi who has three shots in two of his last three games. He’s probably the biggest riser due to the Connor news.
Bonus
- Gabriel Vilardi O 2.5 SOG (+140, DraftKings)
- Gabriel Vilardi Point (-125, DraftKings)
- Mikael Granlund Point (-120, BetMGM)
