We have 10 games on the NHL slate for Tuesday, so there’s plenty of action to be had on the ice. Below you’ll see a list of three of my favorite NHL props, with a couple of bonus NHL prop bets as well.

The odds change pretty quickly in the NHL, so take advantage of our Prop Shop for the best possible odds and check out our Pick Tracker for all of my picks. The Best NHL Prop Bets

Andrei Svechnikov Point

(-115, DraftKings Sportsbook)

It took longer than expected, but Andrei Svechnikov finally scored his first goal of the season in the Hurricanes’ latest game. To be fair, he missed the first month of the season as he worked his way back from season-ending knee surgery last year. Svechnikov is one of the best buy-low candidates in fantasy hockey and in the betting market. He’s -115 at DraftKings for one point and -125 for three shots on goal. He has points in four straight games and six over his last six games. He was promoted to the first line midway through his last game, and he not only scored the game winning goal, he added an assist and put six pucks on the net. He finished the game with a team-high 11 shot attempts. Carolina ranks first in shot attempts and second in shots at 5v5/60 this month, according to Natural Stat Trick. Even if he doesn’t begin tonight’s game on the top line, I like him to pick up a point and have three shots.

Bonus

Sam Bennett Over 2.5 SOG

(+100, BetRivers)

Sam Bennett is another solid buy-low candidate in fantasy hockey. Just like Svechnikov, Bennett missed the first few weeks of the season, and he’s just now starting to come on. Bennett picked up two of his three points on the season last night in Ottawa. He scored his second goal of the season, picked up four shots and came away with two power play points. Bennett has only played nine games, so I wouldn’t get carried away with his point totals or his 2.1 shots per game. The Panthers’ center averaged 3.0 shots per game last season and 3.3 in 2021-22. He has at least four shots on goal in three of his past five games, and he picked up 16 shots in five playoff games last year against the Maple Leafs. He has at least 3 in four of the five. I’m also taking him pick up a point as he’s skating on the first PP unit and on a line with Carter Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk.

Bonus

  • Sam Bennett Point (+114, DraftKings)
  • Brandon Montour Point (-110, DraftKings)
  • Matthew Knies Point (+120, DraftKings)
  • Matthew Tkachuk & Carter Verhaeghe Points (+130, Bet365)
  • Aleksander Barkov & Sam Reinhart Points (+115, Bet365)
  • FLA @ TOR O 6.5 (-115, FanDuel)

Gustav Nyquist Point

(-115, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Nyquist enters Tuesday’s game against the Penguins with points in eight straight games. He has two goals and 10 points over that span. In fact, he’s picked up at least one point in nine of his last 10 hockey games. A lot of his production started to happen when he was placed on the top line with Filip Forsberg and Ryan O’Reilly. Forsberg has 25 points in 20 games and ROR has 18 in 20 games. These three are a good bet to hit the score sheet again as the Pens rank inside the top 10 in expected goals allowed at 5v5/60 this month. They also rank in the top 10 in scoring chances allowed and they are fifth in shots given up at 5v5/60. Not only is Nyquist playing on the top line he’s on the top power play as well. He’s averaging 2:40 per game on the power play, which is the most he’s received since 2015-16 with the Detroit Red Wings.

Bonus

  • Filip Forsberg O 3.5 SOG (-143, BetRivers)
  • Sidney Crosby & Jake Guentzel Points (-130, Bet365)
  • Filip Forsberg, Ryan O’Reilly & Gustav Nyquist Points (+230, Bet365)
