We have 11 games on the NHL slate for Thursday, so there’s plenty of action to be had on the ice.

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Quinn Hughes Assist

(-125, BetMGM)

Tuesday, we had Quinn Hughes for three shots and for an assist, and both cashed pretty easily (five shots and three assists). I’d like to go right back to Hughes and the Canucks as they have the best possible matchup on the board. We have Hughes for three shots at -120 in our NHL Bet Tracker, but that line has now moved to -166 at DraftKings, according to our Prop Shop. I see a couple of sportsbooks offering -150, but that’s a bit much to take as a single bet. If you’re subscribed with us, you get notified right away when we make a bet, we chat about line movement in the Discord and we’ve been talking up Hughes a lot on Dangle Bet Celly, so it’s possible you got him at a good number. However, his assist prop is worth your attention as well and the price isn’t bad.

The Canucks’ captain has 3+ shots on goal in seven straight games and eight of his nine games. He has eight assists over that span as well. The Sharks have coughed up the most shot attempts at 5v5/60 and they rank first or second in shots, scoring chances and high danger chances allowed at 5v5/60. They also have a league-high 3.27 xGA/60 at 5v5 per hour. They’ve lost all nine games they’ve played, and they’ve only scored nine goals over that span (35 against).

Bonus

  • Elias Pettersson O 2.5 SOG (-135, DraftKings)
  • Quinn Hughes O 2.5 SOG (-150, BetRivers)
  • Elias Pettersson O 1.5 PTS (+145, DraftKings)
  • Brock Boeser O 2.5 SOG (+100, BetRivers)
  • Boeser Point, Kuzmenko Point, Miller Point, Hughes Point, Pettersson 2+ Points (+600, Bet365)
  • Canucks -1.5 (+115, Bet365)

Cole Caufield Over 3.5 SOG

(-125, BetRivers)

Caufield checks in with four goals and 10 points in nine games this season with the Canadiens. The sniper has at least one point in every game but two this season. On top of that, he has at least five shots on goal in three straight and six of his nine games. We only need him to get four shots tonight against an Arizona team that played last night. Caufield has played at least 20 minutes in each of his last three games, and he’s racked up 18 shots on goal over that span. The winger enters tonight’s action tied for ninth in shot attempts at 5v5 with 48. He’s also tied for eighth in 5v5 shots with 25 and we know he’s the trigger man on the power play. Arizona ranks fourth in penalties taken this season, so we could see a couple of power play for the Habs.

Bonus

  • Mike Matheson Over 2.5 SOG (-110, DraftKings)
  • Cole Caufield Goal (+135, FanDuel)
  • Nick Suzuki Assist (+120, BetMGM)
  • Mike Matheson Assist (+125, PointsBet)
  • Caufield, Suzuki, Matheson Points (+230, Bet365)
  • Clayton Keller, Nick Schmaltz, Sean Durzi Points (+230, Bet365)

Bo Horvat Over 2.5 SOG

(-125, BetRivers)

There are so many good spots Thursday. It was tough for me to lock in my third pick, but I decided to follow a trend with two New York Islanders’ shooters. Bo Horvat has quietly picked up four goals and seven points in eight games this season. He has 33 shots on goal in those eight games. He’s picked up at least three shots in seven games and he’s racked up 15 over his last three games. He has at least four shots in five games this season. His teammate Brock Nelson has cleared 2.5 shots on goal in six of his eight games (16 shots last three games).

Bonus

  • Brock Nelson Over 2.5 SOG (-125, BetRivers)
