The Best NHL Prop Bets for Thursday

Boone Jenner Over 3.5 SOG

(+100, BetRivers)

Jenner has cleared this number in five straight games and six of his past seven contests. Over his last four games he has 20 shots on goal and over his last five games he has 35 shot attempts (seven per game). He leads Columbus in shots (55) and shot attempts (89), while averaging a healthy 20 minutes per game.

John Carlson Over 2.5 SOG

(-132, BetRivers)

Carlson was a two unit play for me this morning at a slightly better price. I’d take this number at BetRivers, but I wouldn’t take anything much steeper than this. Carlson has cleared 2.5 shots in eight straight games in which he’s started and finished. He had one shot over four minutes of ice time before leaving with an injury back on Oct. 29. The Capitals’ defenseman has 13 shots on goal in his three games since returning to the lineup. He’s played 26+ minutes in two of those games and he’ll flirt with that number again because Washington remains shorthanded on the blue line.

If you follow FTN Alerts you’ll get notified when we make a bet. Make sure you’re subscribed to our NHL Bets Discord as well.

Cole Caufield Over 3.5 SOG

(-120, BetRivers)

Caufield only had one shot in his last game, but it came against a New Jersey Devils team that ranks first in shot attempts, shots and scoring chances at 5v5/60. Look for Cole to get back on track tonight as the Blue Jackets rank first in shot attempts allowed and second in shots allowed at 5v5/60, according to Natural Stat Trick. They’re missing their top defensemen in Zach Werenski, so I don’t expect things to get better. Caufield has cleared 3.5 shots on goal in five of his past seven games and six of nine.

Bonus

Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield & Kirby Dach to each have 1 point (+210 SGP, Bet 365)

I shared a couple more same-game parlays on Mean Streets.
