The Best NHL Props Bets for Tuesday

Aleksander Barkov Over 3.5 SOG

(+100, DraftKings Sportsbook)
Barkov was held to two or fewer shots in four of his first five games, but it looks like he’s turned the corner. The Panthers’ captain has at least four shots in four straight games and 17 over his last three contests. Florida ranks third in the NHL in shot attempts and second in shots on goal at 5v5, meanwhile Arizona has allowed a league high 36.89 shots against at 5v5/60. According to Natural Stat Trick, the Coyotes are seventh in shot attempts surrendered, first in scoring chances allowed and second in high danger chances given up (5v5/60). Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett are all in great spots to put pucks on net!
Bonus: Barkov, Tkachuk, Bennett all Over 3.5 SOG (+500, Bet365)

Roman Josi Over 3.5 SOG

(-130, DraftKings Sportsbook)

I’m going back to Josi here, but I wouldn’t take anything steeper than -140. The Predators’ defenseman ranks second in the league in shot attempts with 90 and he’s only played nine games. Timo Meier leads the NHL with 103 attempts, but he’s played two more games and he’s a forward. Josi ranks eighth in the league in ice time (25:01), which is a big reason why he has 4+ shots in six of his past seven games. In fact, Josi has had at least seven shots on goal in three of his last five contests.

Frank Vatrano Over 2.5 SOG

(+105, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Vatrano leads the Ducks with 28 shots on goal and 23 at 5v5. He has a team high 22 shots over the last two weeks due to an increase in ice time. Vatrano is locked into a top six role in Anaheim which is resulting in a career high 17:40 per game. He’s played at least 19 minutes in back-to-back games next to Trevor Zegras. Vatrano only has three goals, but he has at least three shots on goal in five of his last six games.

Chandler Stephenson Over 0.5 Points

(-120, Caesars)

If you thought last year’s career-high 21 goals and 64 points for Stephenson was a fluke, think again. He has four goals and eight points over his first 10 games. He has points in seven of his 10 games, and he’s hit the score sheet in five of his last six contests. Four of those points resulted in goals as he’s playing on the top line with two playmakers in Jack Eichel and Mark Stone. The Caps played Monday, and they’ll turn to back up goalie Charlie Lindgren.

Bonus: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Over 2.5 SOG (+120, DraftKings Sportsbook)
