The Best NHL Props Bets

Andrei Kuzmenko Point

(-115, DraftKings)

Kuzmenko has picked up a point in each of his first two games this season, and he’s in a decent spot to extend his streak. Although we’d like to see some 5v5 production from the winger, both of his points have come on the power play. He remains on the first PP unit and on the first line with Elias Pettersson who is -245 to pick up a point and -115 to dish out an assist. Kuzmenko had an impressive 39 goals and 74 points in 81 games last season. The Flyers have only played two games, but they’ve coughed up seven goals in those matchups. It’s a small sample, but they’re inside the top 10 in allowing shot attempts at 5v5/60. They were among the leaders in shots, attempts, scoring chances and expected goals last season. I don’t think that’ll change in 2023-24.

Gabriel Vilardi Point

(-110, PointsBet)

Fun revenge game for Vilardi against the Kings, but that’s not why I’m on him. The former King had a career-high 23 goals and 41 points over 63 games last season, but he only played 15:36 per game. He’s averaging 20:50 over two games with the Jets. He has one point and nine shots on goal. I love that he’s on the top line and first power play with Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele. Both players are off to great starts. I love this Los Angeles squad, but I’m afraid they don’t have great goaltending. They’ve coughed up 11 goals in two games so far.
