We have nine games on the NHL slate for Thursday, so there’s plenty of action to be had on the ice. Below you’ll see a list of three of my favorite NHL props, with a couple of bonus NHL prop bets as well.

The odds change pretty quickly in the NHL, so take advantage of our Prop Shop for the best possible odds and check out our Pick Tracker for all of my picks.

With our FTN Bets package, you’ll get picks from everyone at FTN Network, plus tools, projections and access to Discord, where I’ll discuss every slate.

This is a great night for SGP Point Parlays, so be sure to check out our FTN Bets Tracker for more! With our betting package you get all of our picks across all sports, plus access to our Discord channel and to our projections. Promo code FTNWINS will get you 10% off all packages at FTN.

Be sure to check out Mean Streets for daily picks and Dangle Bet Celly for full NHL breakdowns each Tuesday and Thursday.

We hit a 75-1 same game parlay at FTN Tuesday night, and we talked about an intriguing 120-1 same game parlay in Thursday’s episode of Dangle Bet Celly.

The Best NHL Prop Bets

Joel Farabee Point

(-135, DraftKings Sportsbook)

First of all, when it comes to Joel Farabee, check out this elite company he’s in when it comes to his five-on-five production, courtesy of Natural Stat Trick:

Farabee’s 14 goals at 5v5 are tied for the 10th most and his 15 primary assists are the second most in the NHL, three behind Mathew Barzal. Farabee is on the top power play in Philadelphia, and he has four points on the man advantage over the last couple of weeks, but I love seeing the production at 5v5. The Flyers have one of the worst power plays in the league, but it’s been a bit better since the addition of Jamie Drysdale. Farabee enters Thursday’s game on a seven-game point streak in which he has five goals and 10 points over that span. He’s hit the score sheet in 18 of his last 23 games. The winger also has at least three shots on goal in six of his last seven matchups. This run may seem a touch unsustainable as his 40 points this season are a career high for him, but keep in mind the 14th overall pick from 2018 scored 20 goals in his second season in the NHL at age 20. It seems he’s in the middle of a breakout.

Bonus

  • Joel Farabee O 2.5 SOG (+105, DraftKings)
  • Cam Atkinson O 2.5 SOG (-143, BetRivers)
  • Alex DeBrincat Point (-130, DraftKings)
  • David Perron Point (+115, BetMGM)

Wyatt Johnston Point

(-120, DraftKings Sportsbook)

I like to try and mix it up a bit with some different NHL props, but I can’t help myself when it comes to Wyatt Johnston. We hit his point prop, shot prop and the same game parlay with him, Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz Tuesday. I’d like to go right back to him and this line, in a much better spot at home against the Anaheim Ducks. The plus money days may be over, but we’re still getting a good price on a player who has three goals and eight points in his last seven games. He has three multipoint games over that span, and he’s had at least three shots on goal in four of his last five. The Ducks rank inside the top 10 in shot attempts, shots, scoring chances and high danger chances allowed at 5v5/60, since Dec. 1 (Natural Stat Trick). Johnston is a must add in fantasy hockey and he’ll get wing eligibility soon should he stink on the top line. It’s hard to imagine Stars’ head coach Pete DeBoer not riding this thing out as the trio have looked unreal over the last few games.

Bonus

  • Jason Robertson Assist (-120, BetMGM)
  • Wyatt Johnston O 2.5 SOG (-125, DraftKings)
  • Roope Hintz O 2.5 SOG (-112, BetRivers)
  • Tyler Seguin Point (-125, DraftKings)
  • Adam Henrique Point (+100, DraftKings)
  • Mason McTavish Point (+105, DraftKings)
  • Jason Robertson & Roope Hintz Points SGP (-110, Bet365)
  • Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz & Wyatt Johnston 2 Points SGP (+2500, Bet365)
  • Tyler Seguin, Matt Duchene & Mason Marchment Points SGP (+350, Bet365)

Leon Draisaitl Over 1.5 Points

(+124, DraftKings Sportsbook)

I was originally going to go with Evander Kane or Warren Foegele to pick up a point, but it looks like Leon Draisaitl is back with Connor McDavid, so I think +124 for two points is a terrific price. The Edmonton Oilers are -650 money line favorites at Bet365 as they put their 14-game winning streak on the line. We can’t get involved with that price and I don’t think the Chicago Blackhawks on the second half of a back-to-back have what it takes to end the streak, so we have to look at a few props. Draisaitl has played away from McDavid for most of this winning streak and he still has two multipoint games over his last five. Chicago allowed six goals in Seattle last night, which is why we were on the Kraken. This is a much tougher spot for Chicago. The best pick on the board may be a Zach Hyman assist at plus money considering he’s going to play with McDavid and Draisaitl.

Bonus

Brayden Point Over 1.5 Points

(+170, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Brayden Point for two points is my long-shot NHL prop bet of the day. This has a lot to do with Nikita Kucherov who you saw on the 5v5 list above, but also Point has been rock-solid again this season for the Tampa Bay Lightning. The center has 22 goals and 50 points in 48 games this season, and he’s picked up at least two points in two of his last four games. Meanwhile, Kucherov’s 80 points this season rank second in the NHL. He’s fresh off a four-point game and he’s had at least two points in seven of his last 11 games. He’s currently -130 for two points, and even though that’s a steep price for a two-point prop, I lean to the over given his play and the matchup. The Coyotes coughed up six goals Wednesday night in Florida, the third time in their last nine games that they allowed six in a game. Tampa Bay checks in with a league-best 30.5% power play and Arizona ranks third in penalty minutes.
