What is JockMKT?
JockMKT is a fantastic new fantasy football platform that combines the financial market and sports. Bidding on a player as an IPO and getting paid out where they finish on the day. Example: “If fifth place overall is worth $20, and Tom Brady finishes with the fifth-most points, then every user holding Tom Brady receives $20 per share.” It is a fun way to try and buy low on top targets that week who have big time upside and can pay off their IPO price.
How does bidding work?
Bidding is very similar to Ebay. You enter a max bid and JockMKT will only use your max bid on players if needed. If no one competes you will get the player at their initial offering.

Five Players to Bid on in Week 9
Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
Bid until top 15
I was on Joe Burrow last week and will come right back to him this week. He is a model of consistency this season, the only quarterback to have two or more touchdowns in every single game this season, with three straight games of three. His floor makes him a perfect target, while he also has three-plus touchdowns and 300-plus yards well within his range of outcomes. Taking on one of the worst secondaries this season in a Browns team that has been torched by all the competent quarterbacks to face the Browns this season, I love targeting Burrow.
Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Bid until top 15
Austin Ekeler’s usage gives him the perfect floor and ceiling combination on JockMKT this week. Since Week 1 he has not had a single game with fewer than five targets. Why is Week 1 relevant? It was the one game where Ekeler chipped for rookie tackle Rashawn Slater. Since then, he has finished outside the top eight running backs just once with three top-three performances. The Chargers have been the fastest-paced team in football since Week 5 and face an Eagles team that funnels everything underneath, allowing the sixth-most receptions and third-most yards to running backs this season.
Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings
Bid until top 20
Dalvin Cook has massive upside this week — No. 1 overall player upside. He is averaging 24.8 touches since his return from injury and takes on a Ravens defense that is 31st in explosive run rate allowed and has allowed the third-highest percentage of runs that go for 10-plus yards. With his volume, matchup and talent, Cook could pay off in a huge way for people holding shares of him on JockMKT.

Marquise Brown, WR, Baltimore Ravens
Bid until top 40
Marquise Brown currently projects 69th on JockMKT, and if he finished anywhere near that range in the final bidding I will have as many shares of him as I can get my hands on. Brown leads football in end-zone targets, has seen 38% of the air yards and 25% of the targets while taking on a bottom-10 team covering the deep ball. He has only disappointed twice this year — including one game against the Lions where he dropped three potential touchdowns. I think 100 yards and two touchdowns is well within his range of outcomes Sunday.
Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Buffalo Bills
Bid until top 50
Emmanuel Sanders is coming off a dud of a performance, as he failed to score a single fantasy point last week. This has him projected to currently finish 70th in the bidding process — a massive buy-low opportunity. Sanders is tied with Marquise Brown for the league lead in end-zone targets and takes on a Jaguars team that is dead last in DVOA against the pass. He is averaging 17.2 yards per reception, and Cole Beasley is very questionable this week, logging just one limited practice. Sanders has massive upside on a team with an implied team total of 31 points.
