Week 3 NFL picks for JockMKT

What is JockMKT?

JockMKT is a fantastic new fantasy football platform that combines the financial market and sports. Bidding on a player as an IPO and getting paid out where they finish on the day. Example: “If fifth place overall is worth $20, and Tom Brady finishes with the fifth-most points, then every user holding Tom Brady receives $20 per share.” It is a fun way to try and buy low on top targets that week who have big time upside and can pay off their IPO price.

How does bidding work?

Bidding is very similar to Ebay. You enter a max bid and JockMKT will only use your max bid on players if needed. If no one competes you will get the player at their initial offering.

Five players with massive ceilings to bid on

Justin Fields, QB, Chicago Bears

Bid to top 25

With a rushing prop of 53.5 yards, Justin Fields offers a nice combination of floor and ceiling for this slate, going against a Browns team that allowed Tyrod Taylor to complete 10-of-11 passes for 11.3 yards per attempt.

Matthew Stafford, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Bid to top 10

I will look to get as many Matthew Stafford shares as I can. While the Rams offense hasn’t had the volume yet this season, I expect it to come this week against the pass funnel Buccaneers. Last year, Jared Goff through the ball 51 times for over 350 yards in this matchup.

Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers

Bid to top 10

No team has run more plays in their opponents red zone this year than the Chargers, who have punted just once in two games. They have not had the explosion game yet, but it is coming. The Chiefs have allowed a touchdown on all eight drives this year that opponents have made it to the red zone.

Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Bid to top 15

Austin Ekeler is facing a bottom-five team at covering running backs while getting both elite pass-game usage and goal-line touches. He is averaging over 10 targets per game in totals over 51 the last two seasons.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Bid to top 15

Cooper Kupp has had a 10-target game and an 11-target game so far despite Stafford attempting just 56 total passes. As mentioned above, last year in this spot Jared Goff through the ball 51 times. If Stafford gets that kind of volume, his top option in the receiving game should be one of the best players on the week. Cooper Kupp will face off against Ross Cockrell, who has allowed 90% of passes against him to be completed this season.
