Prime-Time First TD Bets — Monday Night Football, Week 16

The weird week in the NFL continues, with another three games Saturday. The league really spread itself over the whole week for Week 17, but at least it’s another chance to try and win some money in DFS. Let’s get into these three games and highlight some targets.

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
The salary that it will take to play a Bengals stack is high, but I wonder if that holds the popularity in check. Denver is 10th in DVOA-adjusted points against the quarterback, but they only average 5% fewer points allowed. That’s something that Joe Burrow is capable of overcoming as he leads the position in attempts, yards, and touchdown passes. Burrow also gets a favorable coverage matchup by the numbers. Denver is playing the fifth-most single-high coverage this year and Burrow has shredded that coverage type. He’s tied for the most touchdowns (21) and has a 106.8 passer rating to go along with an 80.2% adjusted completion rate. Denver is sixth in DVOA against the pass, but I think Burrow can succeed in this spot.
