Week 10 brings us our final International game of the NFL season, and it’s a special one that will take place in Munich, Germany. It’s somewhat unfortunate that this game features the Giants and Panthers, but I’m never going to complain about early morning football.
If you’ve never played showdowns, it’s a pretty fun and simple way to get into DFS. Obviously, there’s going to be some very large MME tournaments that will net a huge top prize, but there’s also other contests that are much lower risk. This breakdown is going to be more geared to the top-heavy high prizepool tournaments, regardless if it’s MME, limited-entry, or single entry.
My approach toward showdown slates is going to be heavily centered on rostership. With prize pools being very top heavy in the large GPP tournaments, I like being a bit contrarian whenever possible. I’ll be taking a deep dive at Sunday morning’s game and will try to maneuver through the player pool.
New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers
9:30 a.m. ET, Munich, Germany
Both teams are at the bottom of their divisions with both head coaches trying to do everything they can to salvage their seasons. On paper, the Giants should be in a better situation. Daniel Jones has been around the block and has seen more glimpses of success at the NFL level. On the other side, Bryce Young is coming off his first win of the season and is responsible for leading a much younger team full of guys who are trying to establish their NFL careers.
