Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said on Monday that running back Brian Robinson Jr. (ankle) is getting treatment for the ankle injury that forced him out of the Week 12 loss to the division-rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The team will know more on his status for the Week 13 game against the Tennessee Titans later in the week. The good news is that the 25-year-old re-entered the game on Sunday after initially leaving, but he left again in the second half and never returned. With Austin Ekeler being in the concussion protocol this week, there's a possibility the Commanders have to turn to a committee approach with Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez Jr. this Sunday against the Titans. McNichols should be a popular waiver-wire pickup this week for fantasy managers hurting at the RB position.

The Commanders' backfield was beat up in Week 12, as Brian Robinson (ankle) also left twice. Depending on the availability of both B-Rob and Ekeler for the team's Week 13 contest versus the Tennessee Titans, Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez Jr. could be thrust into significant roles. The 29-year-old Ekeler failed to take advantage of Robinson's injury on Sunday, as he had 11 touches for just 24 yards against Dallas. We'll keep a close eye on the status of Washington's RBs this week, with Ekeler ultimately needing clearance from an independent neurologist later in the week in order to play on Sunday.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. came into a Week 12 matchup at the Green Bay Packers in a modest slump, averaging 8.3 half-PPR points over his past three games. The former Gamecock's struggles bottomed out on Sunday, as he finished with one catch on four targets for 21 yards. Much of San Francisco's offensive ineptitude on the day can be explained by starting quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder) and left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) watching from the sidelines. However, outside of his one catch-and-run and 87-yard kick return nullified by a holding call, Samuel Sr. was part of the problem. With two crucial drops, including one that directly led to a Brandon Allen interception, it's hard to say with a straight face that Samuel Sr.'s fantasy day was a victim of circumstance. In Week 13, things don't get any easier for Samuel Sr. and the Niners as they travel to Buffalo to face the Bills. If San Francisco's injury problems at quarterback and offensive line linger, Samuel Sr. will be hard to trust in fantasy lineups.

However, the game ended with Ekeler exiting due to a concussion. According to head coach Dan Quinn, the veteran will undergo further testing. But with Brian Robinson Jr. (ankle) and Ekeler both banged up in Week 12, there's a chance both players may miss the Week 13 meeting with the Titans. If so, Jeremy McNichols would likely handle most of the work out of the backfield.

He caught one of his two targets for 11 yards as well. Robinson sustained his first ankle injury in the opening quarter but was able to return shortly after. However, later in the second half, Robinson suffered another injury to his ankle and was unable to return. Fantasy managers should closely monitor his status throughout the week, as he could be in danger of missing next weekend's game. In addition, No.2 running back Austin Ekeler (concussion) sustained an injury in the final minutes. If both running backs were to sit out in Week 13, Jeremy McNichols should be expected to operate as the lead back.
