This strikes me as the most basic and normal week of NFL DFS yet of the year. You have some chalk, but likely not mega chalk. You have some hated players that may be good values, and you have some that may just be bad. You have some higher over/under games and some lower ones, but nothing too crazy and it’s all taken into account with the player pricing.

There are a few chalky players I like, and a few that I don’t really care for that much. I’m just going to focus this article on the players I do like. Even though I’m a contrarian, I am more of a lover than a hater, so it’s generally better to tail the guys I do like that make sense for you (unless they’re Browns players clearly).

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

Like most weeks, I’ll use a variety of quarterbacks. Also like most weeks, I’ll highlight an elite quarterback and/or a value quarterback I like.

We haven’t really had that 40-plus-point slate-smashing performance from a QB this year. It certainly can and will happen at some point. This week, it is likely coming from Jalen Hurts or Jayden Daniels. I like both of them, but I like Hurts a little more. Both he and his receiving pieces have a lot of upside against this porous Cowboys defense. Will the Cooper Rush-led Cowboys be able to keep the game close enough to push Hurts? Probably not, but they may, and the rostership discount makes it worth taking a shot on Hurts and the Philly passing game in my opinion.
