TopProp Fantasy Sports is officially live, bringing you a new way to wager on fantasy football. Are you confident that you have the best team in your league? Great, bet on it. Are you confident that your leaguemate Bob is going to blow John out of the water this week? Great, bet on it.

Put down your group chat where you talk trash and put your money where your mouth is. That’s what TopProp gives you the ability to do. It also gives you the ability to wager on “Expert” leagues. These can be leagues made up of your favorite fantasy football analysts, industry experts, or anyone else that you simply want to wager on. One of those leagues is made up of our experts here at FTN.

Each week, I will provide you with an update on the TopProp FTN Expert League, highlighting a key matchup to wager on, recapping the last week, and reviewing the current standings of the league.

Let’s check in to the Expert League as we head into Week 2 of the NFL season.

Week 1 recap | TopProp FTN Expert League

The results from Week 1 of the Expert League are below. Only one matchup finished within 10 points and that was the matchup between Chris Meaney and Daniel Kelley. Meaney sneaked out a win on the backs of DeVonta Smith and Brandin Cooks, two mid-round receivers who got off to blistering starts. Kelley’s team had some very nice production, but the ultimate Monday night dud from Mark Andrews ended up burying him.

As discussed before last week’s games, based on pure projections, Matthew Freedman (Matthew’s Optimal Team) and Matt Jones (Matthew Jones’s Swell Team) were the closest, separated by a mere 0.43 points, making them last week’s matchup of the week.

It ended with a 10.38-point victory by Freedman, who’s big game from Amari Cooper made it look like this matchup was over before the Sunday games even started. After winning the first matchup of the week, let’s take a look at the matchup of the week for Week 2 in the TopProp FTN Expert League:

Week 2 Matchup of the Week | TopProp FTN Expert League

Not only are Jeff Ratcliffe (149.29) and Ray Garvin (155.71) two of the highest-projected teams in Week 2, they also both come in to their matchup searching for their first wins.

While Ratcliffe has a bona fide workhorse in Joe Mixon, who saw 33 touches in Week 1, as well as a top-tier QB in Josh Allen, many expect the Packers to bounce back in a big way against the Lions, which could be dangerous considering that Garvin has a stack of Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Below outlines the full matchup:

TopProp is handicapping this as Garvin -4. Given the makeup of each of these teams, I would have to take the spread on Garvin and ride the -4. Looking to get in on the action? Click here to sign up for TopProp and start wagering.
