Top Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 2
1. Jeff Wilson, SF, RB (30%) – With Elijah Mitchell slated to miss the next two months due to a knee injury, Wilson slides into the top spot on this week’s list. He figures to step right into Mitchell’s role in the potent 49ers run game.
2. Darrell Henderson, LAR, RB (20%) – While the Rams backfield likely isn’t solidified, Henderson ran as the clear lead back in the opener. Surprisingly, he’s still fairly widely available on some commissioner platforms.
3. Jarvis Landry, NO, WR (15%) – The veteran led the way for New Orleans with nine targets, catching eight of them at topping 100 yards. He looks to be in a 1 and 1A situation with Michael Thomas.
4. Julio Jones, TB, WR (15%) – With Chris Godwin set to miss time, Jones’ arrow is pointing up. In Week 1 he had 22 routes run, which was one fewer than Mike Evans. Jones also caught 3-of-5 targets for 69 including a pretty 48-yard reception.
5. Curtis Samuel, WAS, WR (12%) – Carson Wentz had eyes for Samuel, peppering him with a team-high 11 targets in the opener. Don’t expect that sort of volume every week, but Samuel deserves to be on fantasy rosters.
