Tim Tebow Betting Props 2021

Right now on DraftKings Sportsbook, you can wager on how many receiving yards Tim Tebow gets in 2021. You read that correctly: The former Heisman winner and first-round pick at quarterback and retired MLB minor leaguer is rumored to be closing in on a deal to try out for the team Jacksonville Jaguars to play tight end.

Tim Tebow signs with Jaguars

Tebow, who struggled to pass for over 12 yards in a game in 2010-2012, is now 33 years old. He has never played the tight end position, a position that even the top prospects tend to take multiple years to transition from college to the NFL. Again, he is 33 years old, and not the athlete he once was. Even as an athlete entering the league, he scored 30th percentile in the 40-yard dash — he was a good athlete for a QB but as an NFL skill position guy, he is nothing special.

Tebow has that It factor that has drawn the media to him. This is a non-NFL player potentially signed a training camp deal and to play for his former NFL head coach. We are so far away from him even catching an NFL pass in a preseason game, let alone a regular season game.

Tim Tebow odds

I give Tebow maybe a 10% chance to even make the roster. We often forget that signing guys doesn’t mean they make the team, certainly not guys who sign in May. Urban Meyer being a crazy man is the only reason this isn’t a lock for the under, but getting 50/50 implied probability on a 33-year-old QB trying out for tight end is what bettors dream of.

All bets stand on DraftKings, meaning he doesn’t have to play a snap for you to win.

The bet: Under 12.5 Receiving yards in 2021 for Tim Tebow 1.5 units.
