The Las Vegas Raiders signed defensive lineman Solomon Thomas to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Solomon Thomas signs with Raiders
The former top-five pick will hopefully jumpstart his career in Las Vegas after struggling to play up to his draft status in San Francisco. Thomas has just six career sacks over four seasons.
Fantasy slant: Thomas was limited to two games played last season after suffering a torn ACL. After being selected third overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, Thomas has had an underwhelming career to this point. Thomas's biggest contributions have come as a run defender with only six sacks and 23 quarterback hits in his four-year career. In this aspect, he could help improve a Raiders’ defense that ranked 28th in DVOA against the rush last year. – Derek Brown
