Saints trade DL Malcom Brown to Jacksonville

The New Orleans Saints traded DL Malcom Brown to the Jacksonville Jaguars Tuesday, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The move comes as the team had reportedly considered releasing Brown for cap considerations.

Analysis: Over the last two seasons, Brown has been an integral part of an elite New Orleans’ run defense. In 2020, Brown was the 17th highest graded interior run defender, per PFF. The Jaguars can use the reinforcements along the defensive line after finishing 24th in rush defense DVOA last year.
