Prop: Washington to record fewest wins (+550, DraftKings)

For those possibly outside Dallas, New York and Philadelphia, many are waiting with bated breath for the franchise’s newest and more palatable nickname. War Hogs, please. Whether their revamped moniker is swine-related or not, it’s likely this year’s Washington squad will be served with a side of HUEVOS. Here’s why:

  • Can you honestly trust Dwayne Haskins? Really, can you?! Woefully green in his rookie season, the former Buckeye cracked under pressure and produced few fruits, ranking QB25 or lower in five different completion percentage categories. With only Kyle Allen — who was equally dreadful last year — with him on the roster, Washington has many unanswered questions at QB. It’s possible Haskins takes a step forward in maturation, but after his disastrous run over nine games last year, it appears he has multiple mountains to climb. Kelvin Harmon’s torn ACL only complicates matters.
  • The defense is moving in the right direction after adding bull rusher Chase Young via the draft, but it must show significant improvement after ranking in the bottom half of the league in multiple categories last season. Recall, Washington allowed 22.4 points and 353.4 total yards per game. In the secondary, CB Josh Norman’s departure is addition by subtraction. However, penciled-in starters Fabian Moreau and Kendall Fuller surrendered a combined 114.2 passer rating to their assignments (Insert Michael Scott awkward face gif).
  • Piling on, Washington is slated to face the rugged AFC North out of conference and its in-conference opponents are no stiffs, the G-Men somewhat included. In total, Ron Rivera and Co. will play the seventh-toughest schedule according to projected DK win totals. Emerging victorious in even five games is a tall task.

Bottom line, brighter days are ahead for an organization smothered in ineptitude and controversy. A much-needed ownership change would galvanize the franchise. But as it presently stands, Washington, at least from a general view, remains a long shot to regain respectability anytime soon whether on or off the field.
