Prime-Time Props – Monday Night Football, Week 5

Share

The reigning defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, led by 2023-2024 MVP Patrick Mahomes, enter Monday night as one of two remaining undefeated teams (4-0) and are looking to stay perfect against the Saints. Kansas City has its eyes set on a three-peat but will have its work cut out for it. The Chiefs are already missing their starting running back, Isiah Pacheco, for at least two more games, if not longer, as well as their leading receiver, Rashee Rice, who was placed on IR earlier this week and may be done for the season.

Still, they’re -5.5 favorites at home, with a 50-13 record (79.4% win percentage) at Arrowhead, including playoffs, with Mahomes under center. On the other side, New Orleans has cooled off since its red-hot start. The Saints scored 91 points in their first two games, the fourth-most by any team to start the season in NFL history, but have now lost back-to-back games and averaged just 18 points during that span. However, even with a 2-2 record, the Saints are third overall in DVOA as a team (37.4%) entering Week 5, trailing only the now 5-0 Vikings (41.5%, first) and the Ravens (38.3%, second), and they are ranked six spots higher than the Chiefs (13.1%, ninth).
