The Nashville Post's John Glennon writes that it's hard to imagine that Tennessee Titans impending free-agent wide receiver Tyler Boyd will be back in 2025. The Titans believed that Boyd's experience with head coach Brian Callahan from their time with the Cincinnati Bengals would make him a valuable piece of the offense in 2024, but that just didn't come to fruition. The 30-year-old pass-catcher only produced 39 catches for 390 yards and no touchdowns in his 16 games for Tennessee, his lowest totals since 2017, his second year in the league. Boyd was a decent target for quarterbacks Will Levis and Mason Rudolph on third downs, but his lack of production for the Titans this past season will likely lead them to let him walk in free agency this March. In addition to 2024 being a big disappointment, it was also his first season without finding the end zone.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 18 contest against the Houston Texans. The 30-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Titans during the offseason in hopes of giving his offense a lift. Instead, Boyd had a down year with only 39 receptions for 390 yards and finished with zero touchdowns in 16 games. The expectation is that the rebuilding Titans will go in a different direction and let Boyd walk into free agency. The Titans will have Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine serve as their primary receiving options during Sunday's regular season finale.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd (foot) did not participate in Thursday's practice. Boyd was sidelined for the second day in a row, casting serious doubt about his availability for Week 18 against the Houston Texans. He hasn't been inactive yet this season but could be at risk of missing Sunday's regular-season finale. The veteran receiver has caught 39 passes for 390 yards through 16 games, but he's still searching for his first touchdown as a member of the Titans. If Boyd can't suit up, we'd expect some combination of Mason Kinsey and Bryce Oliver in the No. 3 receiver role behind Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd (foot) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimation. Boyd has made frequent appearances on the injury report this season, but he hasn't missed a game yet. The 30-year-old has consistently operated as the Titans' No. 3 receiver, totaling 39 catches for 390 yards through 16 games. He's still looking for his first touchdown as a member of the Titans, and he's just one game away from finishing a season without a touchdown for the first time in his career. Given that he's behind Calvin Ridley, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Chig Okonkwo in the pecking order, Boyd remains off the fantasy radar and can be left on waivers in most leagues.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd caught 2-of-4 targets in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 30-year-old was a non-factor in Week 17, notching his fourteenth outing in 2024 with three or fewer receptions. It's unlikely that the veteran fell off so drastically; instead, questionable quarterback play is the cause of his subpar season. Unless he puts together a monster performance in Week 18 to close out the year, Boyd will finish under 600 receiving yards for the first time since his sophomore season in 2017, when he played just ten games (22/225/2). With Rudolph and teammate Will Levis slated to split QB reps next weekend, it doesn't look like his situation will improve to close out the season. Tennessee will host the Houston Texans in the season's final week.
