Prop God’s NFL Playbook: Week 12
Prop God
The Minnesota Vikings signed veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson to a one-year, $10 million deal, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Vikings bring in Peterson hoping that the first half of the season is more indicative of his play in 2021. In Weeks 1-9, Peterson played like the top-flight corner he’s been throughout his career, allowing a 78.1 passer rating in coverage. Over the final eight games, his play fell off a table, as he allowed a 74.1% catch rate and 129.6 passer rating. Peterson will team with the emerging sophomore corner Cameron Dantzler on the outside. If Peterson can replicate his early-season play from 2020, the Vikings will be much improved in this secondary this season.
