NFL FanDuel Slate Breakdown: Divisional Round

Share

It may have not been the most exciting Wild Card weekend the NFL has ever seen, but we’re down to eight teams left to hoist the Lombardi trophy. With the DFS slate shrinking even further and one player being massive chalk, the four-game slate presents a unique challenge this week.

Quarterbacks

Studs

Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders ($8,500)

Jayden Daniels certainly didn’t look like it was a big deal to play in his first playoff game, accounting for 268 passing yards, 36 rushing yards and two passing touchdowns against Tampa. The 13 rush attempts were more encouraging than just the yardage because if Daniels is going to be looking at double-digit rush attempts, that’s a massive upside for him. Detroit played the highest rate of man coverage of any defense during the season and that may continue as that unit has started to get some players back from injury. Daniels was strong against man coverages, throwing 20 touchdowns to just two interceptions and sporting a 73.7% adjusted completion rate. The passer rating was also 103.9 but possibly the most exciting was the 39 scrambles against man coverage. That was 10 more than the next closest player (Josh Allen), and he had the highest scramble rate by 1.1% at 12.1%. Those rushing yards could add up in a hurry and I don’t mind saving a little bit by playing Daniels ahead of Allen and Lamar Jackson. I believe that Daniels is a little easier to stack than the other two options as well, which has to be considered on a shorter slate.
