NFL FanDuel Slate Breakdown: Conference Championship Round

Share

We’re down to the final four NFL teams in the running for the Super Bowl, and three of them were expected to be in this spot. The Eagles, Chiefs and Bills were all the 1 or 2 seed in their conference (the preseason takes on the Bills aged like milk for some folks), but there is a party crasher in the Commanders. I don’t think many had them pegged to make the NFC Championship Game.

It should be an exciting Conference Championship Round, and that means some exciting DFS action. Let’s get into the slate.

Quarterbacks

Top Plays

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills ($8,700)

This isn’t a criticism of Josh Allen, because the run game was working very well against Baltimore, but I don’t fully buy the Bills beating the Chiefs if Allen throws for 127 yards again. He didn’t turn the ball over, and he tacked on two rushing touchdowns, so the fantasy score wasn’t terrible. It will be quite the matchup between Allen and the Chiefs defense — defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo blitzed the fifth-most dropbacks this season. Allen had a 10:1 TD:INT rate against the blitz this season with a 99.4 passer rating. Kansas City also was close to a 60-40% split of man/zone coverage and Allen crushed man coverage with 23 touchdown passes. His scramble rate against man coverage was only 5.9%, but the legs are always a threat, especially in big games.
