In addition to having a big DFS win last week, I went 5-0 with my Circa Picks, catapulting my best entry to 22nd place out of 5,273 total entries. My other entry is in 1763rd place, so it doesn’t really matter much still.
Generally, people don’t play the Thursday NFL games much and wait to place their picks for the Sunday lines, in case a line becomes stale so they can get an edge. I think actually playing some of these Thanksgiving games and the Black Friday game can let my entry be a little different, and hopefully sneak me up further in the standings.
Week 12 Circa Millions Picks
Green Bay Packers +7.5
Maybe I’m just a Packers fanboy, but I think this team can keep it within a touchdown. I don’t really have a lot more to go on than that besides pointing out how the Lions struggled to even beat the Bears at home last week. I can almost guarantee few people will be playing the Packers +7.5, so if I win, I at least have a chance to move up in case some of their picks don’t hit.
San Francisco 49ers -7
I’m generally seeing -7.5 already. I can see this being a very boring and lopsided game. I’ll take the free half point and eat the chalk.
New York Jets +9.5
I can’t help but back America’s most hated team vs. America’s most fun team to watch. As much as it was fun to tout Zach Wilson in my articles, he really just isn’t as good at playing football as he is with attractive older women. Tim Boyle, while no great Jets savior, can’t really be much worse. This is just a lot of points to get at home against a team that barely beat the Raiders last week.
Pittsburgh Steelers -1
These teams seem to be headed in different directions. It’s possible the Steelers offense comes alive without Matt Canada, and the Bengals season is pretty much over without Joe Burrow. I’m already seeing the line at -2, so I’ll go ahead and take laying one fewer point.
