NFL Circa Millions Picks for Week 17

I’m pretty much eliminated from most of these pick ‘em events, so I’m just going to focus on sharing some of my favorite sides for the week betting-wise and less on the game theory aspects of the tournaments. Hopefully, a few of these will be winners.

Sadly, one of my Circa entries has a small chance at one of the last-place prizes, but it’ll need to lose bigly over the next two weeks to have a chance. I’ll be taking the opposite of these picks for that one and focusing on half-point picks for it to win.

I will say though — if there’s one guy that encompasses the wisdom of Reese Bobby, it’s me. And you definitely can’t bet against me having a winning season by ending up getting last place in the event.

Week 17 Circa Millions Picks

New York Giants +8

There’s no sadder team in the NFL than the Giants. However, the betting model likes this bet, and I could see the Colts having a “come back to Earth” moment after putting up so many points against the Titans. Of course, this Colts team almost let the Mason Rudolph-led Titans come back and nearly tie the game. So I’ll take the Giants here (and I’ll take the Colts -8 for the entry that I want to lose).

Arizona Cardinals +6.5

This is another team that the betting model likes and the public is betting against. Do we really want to bet on this Rams team that barely beat a Jets team that doesn’t even care anymore? The Rams have been shredded via the air in the past, and I think Kyler Murray will be able to get it done this week.

Dallas Cowboys +9.5

There’s just a lot of line value here since it’s very doubtful Jalen Hurts is playing (the line is +7.5 at most places at this point). Once again, the betting model likes this bet anyways at +7.5 as well. I’ll be taking Eagles -9.5 for sure for my entry that I want to lose.
