Michael Mayer Trending Toward Another Missed Game

Las Vegas Raiders rookie tight end Michael Mayer (toe) missed a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Mayer is dealing with a toe injury that has kept him sidelined the last two games. The fact that the 22-year-old second-rounder has yet to practice this week makes him unlikely to play in a meaningless Week 18 regular season finale against the Denver Broncos. If Mayer doesn't play this weekend, he'll wrap up his first year in the NFL with just 27 receptions for 304 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games played. Austin Hooper was on the field for over 80 percent of the offensive snaps in last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, but it only led to three catches for 28 yards. If Mayer misses another game, Hooper will merely be a low-cost dart throw at the tight end position in DFS.

Quentin Johnston Looks For A Good End To The Season In Week 18

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Quentin Johnston will look to end his disappointing rookie season on a high note in a Week 18 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnston, the Chargers first-round pick, has just 36 catches for 414 yards and two touchdowns. He'll have a key role with Keenan Allen (heel) likely out and Joshua Palmer (concussion) possibly limited. Johnston doesn't have much upside even against Chiefs backups. He'll be a WR4.

Austin Ekeler Looks To End On A High Note In Week 18

Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler will look to stop his slide and end the season on a high note in a Week 18 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Ekeler has had a very bad season, scoring just one touchdown in his past seven games and "earning" Pro Football Focus' worst grade among all NFL running backs since Week 6. In what is likely Ekeler's last game as a Charger and almost certainly his last game as a three-down back, he's an RB3.

Another Missed Practice For Josh Jacobs

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) missed another practice on Thursday. Interim head coach Antonio Pierce said on Wednesday that Jacobs is expected to be a game-time decision for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Denver Broncos this Sunday, but the 25-year-old will probably need to practice on Friday, at least on a limited basis, if he's going to be a realistic option to play in what is a meaningless game between division rivals. Jacobs hasn't played in the last three games due to his quad issue and would be a very volatile, high-priced DFS asset on top of it. Zamir White has been excellent as the Raiders' starting RB the last three games, averaging 4.83 yards per carry for 285 yards and a touchdown on 59 attempts while catching eight passes for 51 yards. White is the better DFS value against a vulnerable Broncos rush defense if Jacobs is inactive.

Easton Stick Not A Week 18 Fantasy Option

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Easton Stick is not a recommended fantasy option for a Week 18 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Stick has likely struggled his way out of the QB2 position for next season, but he'll get one more start to wrap up this season for the Chargers, Going up against the Chiefs defense, Stick is unlikely to be able to do much with a thoroughly decimated Los Angeles offense. He's outside of the top-20 fantasy quarterbacks this week, even with several teams resting their starters.
